Happy...not Satisfied.

Greetings!

I hope your week is off to a Great start! As summer is upon us, I hope you are still attacking the Goals you set for yourself back in January! That being said, I would like to share an idea with you today. That idea is to ALWAYS be happy, but NEVER be satisfied.

As we work toward our goals...on the Mat, school, at work...it is easy to get frustrated. It is also equally as easy to get complacent. When we are not hitting the goals we want, we might get frustrated. When we reach a certain level of success, we might get complacent. Neither will get you to reach your full potential.

That's where our idea this week comes into play. ALWAYS be happy, just NEVER satisfied. I think it's safe to assume, as we chip away at a goal, we make progress. The challenge is, sometimes we don't take the time to recognize our progress. We focus on what we don't have instead of what we do have. Always remind yourself that you work very hard, and you ARE getting better. Remind yourself to be HAPPY.

Once we reach a goal, it is then key to keep setting NEW ones. To NEVER be Satisfied at what we have achieved. We must always strive to reach new levels of growth...personally, professionally, athletically. If you were very overweight, your first goal would be to not be obese. Once you reach a certain weight and fitness level, you can't stop there. You can't be satisfied at just reaching one goal. You need to strive to CONSTANTLY IMPROVE.

It is so important for us to keep a healthy, happy lifestyle. Not just for ourselves, but for the people we impact on a daily basis. So, remind yourself this week...I am ALWAYS HAPPY, just NEVER SATISFIED!
