Partners, not Opponents

Greetings!

I have a Great training concept for you today! It will ensure that you will see amazing results in your training! It will ensure that all of your friends on the Mat will see the same results, as well!

I would like you to entertain the thought of being a Partner...not an Opponent. We use the phrase "Team" in class a lot, don't we? "Great job, Team!" Ever hear me say that? Doesn't the word Team indicate that EVERYONE is working TOGETHER to achieve a goal? If the goal is for EVERYONE to get in great shape and be great at Martial Arts, then don't we ALL have to work TOGETHER?

There are many skills we need to aquire that REQUIRE a partner to learn. Agree? Then isn't paramount that we learn how to be a good PARNTER? The students with the BEST partners always learn the MOST! The real key is to be a great partner for your friend, and they need to be a great partner for you. Then you BOTH become great! We all need to take Pride in helping our friends learn the Martial Arts. After all, isn't one of our goals knowing self defense? We all play a part in our friends knowing they can protect themselves. They play a part in ours. If we help each other learn, and care about each other, we all can protect ourselves and our families. Not too mention, we all have more FUN! Does anyone like training with someone who doesn't help them out? Not really. It's never fun to train with someone who's only concerned with their own skills.

This week on the Mats, I would like to encourage you to be THE BEST PARTNER on the Mat. Be the student that EVERYONE loves to workout with because you genuinely care if they are improving. Take your time, be helpful, compliment, and encourage. Chances are they will return the favor! And guess what?...EVERYONE GETS BETTER AS A TEAM!

I hope you gained some benefit from this Today!

ALL THE BEST!
COACH
