90 Minute Blitz

Greetings!

During our busy lives, we struggle to maximize our time. Last week, we talked about the power of taking a nap to re-charge our body and mind. Today, I'd like to take about the power of focusing all your effort into what is called 90 minute blitzes.

The idea is simple. To ensure we work the best and accomplish the most, focus your energy 100% on your task for 90 minutes. Then, take some time to "renew". By renewing, I simply mean "relax" for a short period. Read, listen to music, excercise, get something to eat, NAP. Then, attack another task with the same focus.

If we have a cycle during our day of a few good 90 minute blitzes, mixed with good renewal time, we can get MORE work done and be MORE productive. If we try to work "straight through", we lose focus, energy, and enthusiasm. It's safe to say that as the day goes on, our productivity goes down. Why not have a strategy that when you are "working", you really are WORKING!

Keep in mind that during your 90 minute blitzes, you need to be COMPLETELY FOCUSED. To do this, you will need to avoid DISTRACTIONS. Phone calls, emails, TV, and social networking. You need to stay on task with all of your energy and drive! Maximize your time and get a lot accomplished!!

This theory is much like Jiu Jitsu...work SMARTER NOT HARDER! Don't struggle with pushing and straining yourself. Choose a strategy that is EASY and EFFECTIVE! They ALWAYS work better!

I hope you gained some benefit from this today!

ALL THE BEST!
Coach
